About

The WAR Times focuses on the critical issue of the likelihood of armed conflict breaking out between America and its allies versus the revisionist powers of China and Russia, and the rogue regimes of North Korea and Iran.

At times this publication will also deal with the threat of war between other nation states that could involve America, such as a war breaking out between China and Taiwan; Pakistan and India; Iran and Saudi Arabia; or Iran and Israel.

The news stories that make up the majority of events included on the website are the kind of Factors that indicate the growing threat of war and the accelerating arms buildup.

The Need

The intelligence community is concerned that we may be entering a dangerous historic period not unlike that just before the First and Second World Wars when great power competition turned into war.

At The WAR Times we believe that the use of soft power without the use of hard power should still be classified as a form of warfare. Therefore, by this definition, America is already under attack from China, Russia, North Korea and Iran.

The important question is…will ongoing events lead to the use of hard power, defined as military armed conflict, resulting in full-scale war.

Over the years, the academic and intelligence communities have studied various causes of war and theories of war, but they have not paid sufficient attention to the subject of Factors or specific events that lead to war. This is what The WAR Times has been designed to do.

The Mission

The mission of The WAR Times is to engage and encourage the citizens of America and its allies to educate themselves and develop their own understanding of the emerging threats that are potentially leading us to war.

The storm clouds are gathering and support for our military and defense industry is essential. Between the interwar time period after the First World War and the beginning of the Second World War America did not feel the threat level emerging until it was almost too late.

The idea of the importance of early warning was emphasized by General Douglas MacArthur when he said, “The history of failure in war can almost be summed up in two words: Too Late. Too late in comprehending the deadly purpose of a potential enemy, too late in realizing the mortal danger, too late in preparedness, too late in uniting all possible forces for resistance and too late in standing with one’s friends.”

Together we can ensure that America and its allies are never too late again.
